ABSTRACT
22 consecutive extraaxial masses in the cerebellopontine angle were reviewed in their clinical, radiological and especially for the computed tomographic findings. Among the major three cerebellopontine angle masses, meningiomas and epidermoids showed rather diagnostic CT pictures, though acoustic neurinomas disclosed various CT findings ranging from the purely cystic form to the meningioma-like solid ones. However, ill-defined low or isodensity on plain CT with either the findings of single or multiple central low densities within the well enhancing masses or ring type enhancements were suggestive of acoustic neurinomas.
