| ABSTRACT |
|
The authors experienced a case of sparganosis involving the intradural space of the thoracolumbar spine, in which unusual pathologic findings such as caseous necrosis without any inflammatory cells were noted. We confirmed the sparganosis by microscopic findings of the worm and immunologic studies of serum and cerebrospinal fluid.
Epidemiology, pathogenesis and particularly diagnostic methods in association with CNS sparganosis are discussed. |
