| ABSTRACT |

Intracranial granulocytic sarcoma without abnormal bone marrow findings occurs very rarely. We report a case involving the cerebello-pontine angle. A 55-year-old female presented with a few days' history of dizziness and difficulty in walking. Computerized tomography and magnetic resonance imaging revealed a mass in the left cerebellopontine angle with surrounding brain swelling, while vertebral angiography showed no abnormal tumor blush.
Bone marrow biopsy showed no abnormality. Total resection of the mass was achieved via left retromastoid suboccipital approach and histology revealed the presence of granulocytic sarcoma. |
