| ABSTRACT |
|
We report a case of acute subdural hematoma(SDH) associated with subarachnoid and intracerebral hematoma in probable moyamoya disease. A 62-year-old woman was hospitalized for a sudden severe headache. Neurological examination on admission revealed severe headache without focal neurological signs. Computerized tomographic(CT) images showed SDH, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and intracerebral hematoma. Cerebral angiograms demonstrated a probable moyamoya disease. Single photon emission computerized tomography indicated a reduction of both the resting regional cerebral blood flow and the response following intravenous acetazolamide injection, especially in the left frontal lobe. Follow up CT images eight days later showed that the subarachnoid hemorrhage had disappeared, and the subdural and intracerebral hematoma mostly resolved. |
