The impact factor of Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society(JKNS) was 0.079 at 2000, and the score was below average among 69 KoMCI articles. The impact factor remained about the same value at 2001, 2002. However, it rised to 0.176 at 2003. This increase in citation was mostly by self-citation.
