Photographs taken from cadaveric specimen showing the lateral views of the Rolandic fissures (arrows). Most Rolandic fissures are not connected with sylvian fissures and extend to 3-5mm superior to sylvian fissures (white arrowhead of upper photograph). However, in 4.8% of the hemispheres, the Rolandic fissure is connected with sylvian fissure (white arrowhead of lower photograph).
